What to Bring When I’m Buying or Leasing

Your Driver’s license

Your driver’s license will be used as your official identification. If you’ve taken a test drive with us before, we might have your license information on file, but it’s a good idea to bring it with you anyway.

Your Social security number

If you don’t have your number memorized, please bring your social security card with you. We need the number for tax purposes, due to the fact that most financial transactions over $10,000 must be reported to the IRS. Even if you’re paying with cash, we will have to properly report your transaction.

Your Proof of car insurance

All 50 states require drivers to have car insurance, whether they own or lease their vehicles. Please bring proof of insurance with you so you can drive home legally after you purchase or lease your new ride.

Your Wallet or checkbook

You’ll need a way to pay for your vehicle, even if you plan on financing your vehicle (in other words, getting an auto loan and paying off your car over time). Whether you plan to use cash, a credit card or a cashier’s check, please make sure your method of payment is ready to go when you walk into our finance department — especially if you plan to make a down payment during your visit

Your Proof of employment, residence and salary

Please bring some mail addressed to you at your current residence, as well as a pay stub from your current workplace.
